Flavia Carpio nació y creció en Chiclayo, al norte de Perú. A los 16 años tomó la decisión de mudarse a Lima para iniciar sus estudios profesionales. Su pasión por la fotografía y el video nacieron mientras estudiaba la carrera de Arquitectura. 

En el 2016, tomó una de las decisiones que cambiaría su vida: tomar un avión a Nueva York para iniciar sus estudios en filmmaking. 

Su trabajo de más de 6 años como directora, videógrafa y fotógrafa la han llevado a contar historias que nunca imaginó desde filmar con el Papa Francisco en el 2018 hasta tener la oportunidad de entrevistar a Carles Puyol en el 2022.

Hoy, como filmmaker, fotógrafa y empresaria del rubro automotriz, busca utilizar su trabajo como herramienta de cambio social y a través de las artes visuales quiere mostrar a otros no solo lo que valen, si no lo que ellos pueden ser.

Flavia Carpio was born and raised in Chiclayo, in the north of Peru. At the age of 16, she made the decision to move to Lima to begin her professional studies. Her passion for photography and video began while studying Architecture.

In 2016, she made one of the decisions that would change her life: to take a flight to New York and start her studies in filmmaking.

Her work of more than 6 years as a director, videographer and photographer has led her to tell stories she never imagined—from filming with Pope Francis in 2018 to having the opportunity to interview Carles Puyol in 2022.

Today, as a filmmaker, photographer, and entrepreneur in the automotive industry, she seeks to use her work as a tool for social change, and through the visual arts, she wants to show others not only what they are worth, but also what they can become.
